As an author, podcast host, and trainer responsible for helping to some of the biggest companies in the world negotiate million dollar deals, most people assume that I’ve always been a confident leader.

But the truth is I wasn’t born this way, I was built this way.

Rejection and isolation sunk their teeth into me at an early age.

As a first generation Caribbean American who grew up in small-town Ohio, nobody wanted to be my friend and it devastated me. More than that, it turned me into a people-pleaser, as I vowed to never again experience that level of rejection.

Out of my desire to be liked, I built a wall of self-limiting beliefs that was holding me back from the life I wanted, from my career to my relationships, and even my confidence.

Until one day I discovered how to re-define negotiation and apply the fundamentals to building my confidence and discovering a life of authentic success, stronger connections and more exciting opportunities.

Today I’m proud to be the host of the #1 Negotiation podcast in the world, Negotiate Anything, a LinkedIn Top Voice, a best-selling author and regarded as one of the top global thought leaders on negotiation and conflict resolution - having successfully consulted with leaders from some of the largest and most successful organizations in the world.
